Bandwidth Enhancement of Slot Antenna Using Fractal Shaped Isosceles for UWB Applications

In this paper, a coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed slot antenna using fractal-shaped isosceles trapezoidal corrugations is designed and presented for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications. The proposed formed by regular hexagonal patch through CPW feed line radiates amidst notched wide slot. edge of the shaped fractal structure that five notches. printed on RO4350B substrate having compact size 0.305λ0 × 0.313λ0 0.012λ0 at 2.35 GHz. . Good agreement registered between experimental results fabricated prototype calculated ones. By an Agilent 8722ES vector network analyzer, confirms has excellent matching impedance over bandwidth 2.35-10.65 GHz (127%) which covers entire UWB band. Furthermore, good radiation performances are measured in anechoic chamber. Consistent patterns with reasonable peak gain working bandwidth. Therefore, may be worthily considered different wireless communications systems.
